Bister
 |
Since 1926, 3 generations of the Bister family have headed the Bister Mustard factories one after another:
Franz, Jean and Fabienne developed the Jambes site, near Namur (Belgium, Wallonia), then the St-Thibault facility near Troyes (France, Champagne, Aube). |
Established with family capital, these two factories take the legal form of a public company in Belgium(15 employees) and a private limited company in France (3 employees).
The two sites chiefly manufacture mustards (over 20 different recipes), piccalilli (4 recipes ), onions, gherkins and capers in vinegar.
The line has expanded to cover cold sauces in recent years (mayonnaise, cocktail, tartar, béarnaise, etc.), plus economy size ready to use vegetables (grated celery, grated carrots, gherkin slices, vegetable slices, beetroot slices, olives …).
Several deluxe products, such as the Bistériades Gourmandes line, came on-stream in 2005. They will continue to be developed in the coming years.
Certified Organic seasonings were produced in 1999 to bring the range up to strength. Our Research and Development division is working on new projects involving organically produced projects.
